At CES 2018 Samsung shared its vision and strategy for an intelligent and seamless Internet of Things, showcased by the company’s latest innovations. Our task was to design an ample sized booth, that highlighted innovation as core value of the brand and underlined Samsung’s vision to connect all of its products by the year 2020.

Featuring the city as a “natural habitat” of connectivity and innovation, we used an urban theme to form abstract building blocks by media content and light elements. The product ecosystem was illustrated by corresponding icons and multiplies into endless connectivity scenarios, creating a matrix of illuminated pixels.

The Hyper Connected Samsung City is created by the radial arrangement of volumes out of illuminated lines and mediascreens. Both volumes and screens are gradually decreasing in height towards the back to generate a hierarchy of different spaces, resembling a future urban environment.

  1. First zone (MDE´s) = Highest  Priority

  2. Second zone (Brand zone/Open Eco Zone/Innovation zone)

  3. Third zone (Music Lounge/Open kitchen/Home cinema/Innovator zone)

  4. LED lines serve to support the idea of connectivity and the concept of the city

  5. Media screens:
