The Cheil Memorial Museum and the Samsung Trading Bilding Exhibition are part of a development plan in Daegu South Korea, where the two building are renovated in order to display the life and path of Samsung and it’s founder Ho Ahn.

A PROGRESSING IDEA

Designing an exhibition inside a historical building is a great challenge. What has been added new and what was there before needs to co-exist in great harmony.

MDLab created a continues exhibition journey representing „path of ideas“ which does not interfere with the space, but creates newperspectives to tell the story of Samsung Trading Company in the contextual environment.

AN EVOLVING PATTERN

A company develops when the country does and vice versa.

Our evolving pattern aims to create a spatial framework in order to represent the development of Cheil Textiles while visualising the bright and open future it contributed to the country.
